Anderson, Jon Lee. To Lose a War: The Fall and Rise of the Taliban. Penguin, 2025.
Jon Lee Anderson和同為戰地記者的弟弟Scott Anderson去年八月同時出了新書，弟弟Scott的書談1979伊朗伊斯蘭革命（並拆解這個命名對於革命的過度簡化），而哥哥Jon Lee這本則是集結過往發表過的報導文章來看這廿載阿富汗塔利班的落與起。
Kuper, Simon. World Cup Fever: A Footballing Journey in Nine Tournaments. Profile Books, 2025.
這本跟上月讀的Jonathan Wilson的新世界盃史The Power and the Glory: A New History of the World Cup (2025)取徑與規模不同，主要是從Kuper自身作為足球記者的角度出發來談這項足球盛事。Wilson的企圖極好，但Kuper這本讀起來較有趣味。

每隔幾年就會重新翻一下，然後再次大歎華勒斯走得太早。
